Rivals has him as the #53 overall player in the upcoming class. Would be nice to add him as a role player for some of our stars. Just hope he gets more done than a Poole or Hood type.
Funny that #53 for many programs is considered a really huge recruit. For us we wonder if he'll see the court.

I was also reading where the kid from Mt. Washington, KY, Derrick Willis is on the verge of committing to UK. He is class of 2013 though. Rivals has him as the overall #23 player. He also has offers from Indiana and Louisville.

I loved Chucks heart...but I don't want to see that kind of player in a starting role here ever again. Somebody to come off the bench and spell a star with some good minutes is fine...but we can do much better than a "Chuck Hayes type" in a starting role.

After watching him on You Tube I felt he would make a great very aggressive Small Forward at 6'6". That would be fun to watch.

Chuck never could finish at the rim very well either. I used to joke that he was padding his rebound stats because he would usually get his own miss and then put it in.
He was a good rebounder and also a good interior passer. But that's good enough to stay in the NBA.

Chuck Hayes played like you want every player to play....balls to the wall. His weakness was his outside shot. Yeah, I understand what bignasty is saying because Chuck isn't a remarkable athlete... but you can do a lot worse on a college team than a guy who has logged minutes in the NBA for 7 years and going strong.
