I'll tell you what this means...it means that Billy D has just cost us a national championship, AGAIN!!!! BD knew we needed another guard to win the championship (just ask Kman), but now the only players left are big guys. Damn you Billy D! #th_rofl2#

I can't believe that fluridah didn't win the title this year with that all guard line up.
Everybody knows that you can't win with only two guards. Right?

Calipari's system is not dependent on two traditional guards....however he does want a competent and very skilled point guard to run the team.

Calipari's system is not dependent on two traditional guards....however he does want a competent and very skilled point guard to run the team. I think Im gonna hold fast to this one. I still say we add another guard and will be shocked if we dont. Now all that goes out the window if one of our guys (Teague or Lamb) returns. I hear Teague is 100% gone but Lamb could possibly come back...then Lamb would be the backup PG....I dont think Cal and Beckham will ever be on the same page. Beckham is the new Poole in my opinion. How is Beckham anything like Poole? Poole was a talented guy that didn't want to wait his turn and was a bit of a party boy. Beckham wants to be here and does everything asked of him. He just can't play.

I simply dont get the mindset that we need two people for every spot, yeah for practice maybe....Cal plays his best players down to about the 7th one. He puts the best on the floor he can, if he has to move a skilled 3 to the 2 or a 2 to the point or even the 4 to a 5 or VV he'll do that with 7 or 8 for short spells, I heard this not deep enough crap for three years now, I hear can't win not enough experiance, Cal isn't a good bench coach, blah, blah, blah, yet two FF's and an EE, one very bad game and reliance on the three cost three FF's. He's bringin in the no. 1 class (looks to be anyway) for the third year, He put five in the first round in year one, two in year two (count Canter), 4 or 5 first rounders this year including the second no. 1 in three years. Some of you are going to realize and some of the so called "experts" are going to realize that our Coach (who by the way needs a salary increse IMO) might just know how to run a program, how to recruit the right players, how to mold them into a great team concept, and how to take a bunch of high scoring, high profile players and have them buy in to playing hard nosed D and not just exciting offense but an offense that can adapt to slow, fast, foul trouble, official issues, etc. i.e. the SOB is a terrific coach who understands and embraces the challeges of the job at Kentucky.
Its fine to guess the starters, question tactics, cuss when we lose, but enjoy it a bit, we got no. 8 despite our moaning about depth, Coach goes out and starts to reload, If lamb comes back terrific it frikkin' shows he listens to people and understands his position and improvement needs, if Bennet comes fine, we get stronger, he gets better coaching, we get an even stronger shot at no. 9, if not, he goes to Heman Munsters son, he gets lots of good looking florida coeds, he loses in the SEC and gets his ass whipped by UK while he's at Florida...personally I don't think he's that myopic but we'll see, he'll do what he thinks best for his future.
While I'm on my rant, anyone notice how one dimensional Donovons teams are? He hit lightning in a bottle with two teams, his D coach left, Billy D hasn't compensated. His teams have little balance inside and out, they tend to be selfish, He did have a stud playing at the three spot but he was out of position, He'd have really flourished with Cal if not points but in all around game and he's good as it is. Anyway glad we could help you get that nice extension etc on your job billy, I'm sure you and Pee had it all figured out to help Pee out... Hell the big blue nation suffered a bit, but out of adversity evloves a tougher and smarter person/coproration/team/country.
Florida has room for Bennett, if not they'll make it. We have room for Bennett and we don't have to make it. As Mel Brooks but it "its good to be the King" PVO!!!

Beal is gone to the NBA, just announced. That ain't surpising, he's a good player, not sure if he's quite NBA ready yet but I'm sure he sees little chance for a title, and wants to make the cash. I do hope he did his research of Munster Helped him so that he understood what his options were. Damn sure Cal did or is doing that with out kids.

Goodwin perhaps is better than Lamb. He is a legit 6'5-6'6" Can get to the rim at will, and handle the ball. This young guy is the real deal...would I like Lamb to return? Yes. But I want him to achieve what he wants...he deserves it.

If Lamb has been assured of a first round pick I can't blame him for going. One thing for certain, if any of our guys declare now they can't come back because of that NCAA deadline. Doesn't matter if they hire an agent or not. They are done if they declare.
I don't think that lamb is NBA material, but good on him if he gets a spot.
As for Goodwin. He is a much better all around player than Lamb. Is he as good a shooter? I doubt it. Lamb was lethal when open and he didn't need much room to be open. I know it had to crushing to the defense to work their ass off and then all of a sudden see Lamb with an open look. ;D He helped the inside guys too because no one in their right mind would help off of Lamb.

Apparently Florida is now recruiting a 6'11 player from Florida. Looks like they got the message that Bennett will not be a gator.

Bennett hasn't made any visits yet. I would think that would be one holdup. Supposedly, he is currently scheduling his visits. Who knows, he might just skip the visits and choose a school. It just seems prudent that he actually visit a school before committing.
