Tomorrow is the culmination of an incredible, iconic year at Kentucky. These young men have earned the right to take their skills to the professional level and achieve their dreams...just as they have helped us achieve ours. Let's not fret about who should stay and who should go. All of them have earned the right to go. They, and Coach Cal have restored us to our righteous place at the pinnacle of college basketball. They have taken us again down that glory road. Have faith in Cal to re-load with whomever we need to make us competitive next year and for many years to come. As it should be, Kentucky is again the envy of the basketball world. Now is the time to thank our young wildcats for sacrificing themselves so that the team could excel....so that the team could reach heights that only come with selflessness and dedication....so that the team can revel in that banner at the top of Rupp Arena that forever more will proclaim "2012 NCAA National Champions". Thanks guys for making this old UK fan whose earliest memory was sitting on his father's lap listening to UK basketball on a transistor radio proud again of the tradition, the legacy and the future of wildcat basketball. We are the greatest tradition in college basketball. We stand again in a place of honor. We are Kentucky.

Great post steve, I agree with you 100%. This is what it means to be a players-first program. We look out for them, and they deliver the results for us fans. I am really happy for all of them and I hope they all have tremendous success in the pros and make a ton of money and have great careers and lives. They were one of the best college teams of all-time!

Great stuff. With #8 hung, I don't feel guilty talking about the glory days to my son. There was a time when I doubted he would ever see the glory that was UK pre-Turd, Thanks to Cal, the staff and players for making this come true, not only for us old geezers, but for a whole new generation of fans. It's funny I was a junior in HS when we won in 78 and I still have a special place in my heart for that team, and Kyle is a junior in high school now...funny how things work!
PVO! #th_thumbup#
