Take only one guess, since this is a question with a small number of possible answers. The first person to get it right on their first guess wins! And as always, if you look up the answer, don't post it please!
Kentucky has the most wins in the history of college basketball with 2,090.
Of all the current SEC schools, the school with the 2nd most all-time wins in our conference has 1,545 wins..
Name that school...

I took a guess and was wrong, close but still wrong. I won't mention my guess to leave more options for others.

I would guess Alabama, they were really strong for a number of years.

My guess is Arkansas. They have probably been better than most SEC teams historically.

I will go ahead and give the answer, since there was a correct guess. The answer surprised me. It would certainly not have been my first guess.
Congratulations to gtrick! The answer is Alabama.

When looking up the answer, I noticed the state of Kentucky has 4 teams in the top 16 if you go winning % wise.

How 'bout that? I thought it would be either Bama or LSU, and went with Bama as my guess just on a hunch. Both of them were the primary rivals to UK for a long time in the SEC before the rise of UF or VU in more modern times, and before Arky was a member. Great question!

I will admit I didn't know that Alabama was ever that good. What years/decades were they at their best?

They were responsible for 1 of the 2 loses given to our 1978 National Champ squad. Yes 'bama was a chief SEC rival for many years.

Bama was good in the 80's It seems that I remember Bama being ranked #1 at one time in the mid to late 90's. Does anyone remember this? I guess it is possible that I got them mixed up with Arky, because I was young at the time. I didn't post it, but my guess was bama becuase of this. lol.

I don't remember if they were then, but I know they were #1 more recently than that, I'll guess somewhere in '02 or '03, when they had a few decent years under Gottfried and made the NCAAs. They went to the Elite Eight one year, I distinctly remember that. I think it may have been the year Syracuse won it, I believe Cuse beat Bama in the Elite Eight.

Bama was my second pick. UT was my first. Bama was pretty good when CM Neuter was there. I think UT is third in wins.
UK, Useless of L, Western, and Murray are the 4 Ky teams in the top 16 in %.
