Concealed carry. Senate Bill 150 will allow concealed firearms to be carried without a concealed carry permit. The measure will allow Kentuckians age 21 and older who are legally eligible to possess a firearm to carry a concealed weapon without a license in the same location as people with valid state-issued licenses. Permitless carry will not be allowed where prohibited by federal law or otherwise prohibited. apps.legislature.ky.gov/record/19RS/sb150.html

Did you read any of the proposed amendments by D's? Some crazy stuff. They will lose the House soon enough. They are attacking at the state level. This war is ongoing. Kudos to Kentucky for arming its populace.

Its a lot safer for me now because when I go to auctions that only take cash and the highest denomination bill is only $100 you end up having a fat FAT wad of bills that should have some protection by its side.

I don't mean to get out of my lane, but I do want to say something about this. I don't know anything about your familiarity with weapons, but if you don't have a pretty good background, you might want to check with some of your local firearms dealers and see if they have a self dense class. Like in bowling, we tend to fall back on our training when things get tight. If you have no training then it might be questionable what you will fall back on.

Auction buyers carry locks...they make GREAT brass knuckles. Storage auctions are safe because they are well armed. The potential danger is going back to get the unit, because the other buyers are gone and its just you and tumbleweeds in the parking lot. I'm good, I'm the age now where there is no fear anymore, my attitude is I feel sorry for the poor bastard that f's with me. I thank our lord and savior for the gift of heeling brought to me with powers I didnt realize I had through prayer. It's called the armor of god. Sorry if I sound crazy, its just that I speak my mind now, I'm living my life as intended. In my case, life and career started a few years ago.

Im of the opinion a little fear is a good thing allows some prudence in your actions. I have open carry and conceal. Im not allowed per company policy to carry on
At work. As has been said in this forum many times we have a constitutional right to have fire arms but proper training and a legal backup available when needed is a must good guys get screwed even in justifiable shootings. I said earlier that a little fear is good maybe wariness is a better word.
The issue as i see it is not the responsible owner its the poor untrained sob who uses a legal weapon stuff happens that are in no way intended in high stress situations.
Please get appropriate training folks and keep your newly learned skills sharp responSIBILTY , practice, and prudence👍 THE HALLMARKS of a good gunowner

In my opinion, a little fear is why you prepare. After that, fear ain't gonna help ya.

I think any gun owner should be responsible enough to have an adequate background in weapons. Guns don't kill people. Evil, careless, and stupid people do. That said, I'm not confident gov is the one who should determine what adequate is. If the wrong people are in control of gov what will their standards be? Can they be relied on to uphold the second amendment? Personally, I don't trust gov enough to give them that power. It's a sticky situation, but when in doubt I have to go with the rights of the common man as specified in the second amendment. BTW training certainly helps, but it doesn't fix careless or stupid.

Fear is a normal human condition. When someone is trying to kill you, you better have some degree of fear or something is wrong with you. It's how you react to that fear, and training can help you react positively.

The following observation does NOT apply to swat team members--they are terrific to watch and learn from.
Go to a shooting range, and watch the suburban city and county cops shoot and handle their weapon. First, their weapons(pistols) are almost always DIRTY. they practice a little and then ignore cleaning. they treat the "tools" of their trade like 4 year olds treat their sand box toys. 2nd--they are barely able to pass their accuracy test--we have watched um many times, and they are pathetic. 3rd--Most regulars at the range understand and follow proper etiquette and range rules---they are oblivious to the world it seems. "I am a cop" and that is all that matters. Not all, but most are pathetic.
Of foremost importance, no matter how much/little training--constant practice and handling of weapons is a MUST. Being trained and seldom/never going to a range is a certain course to failure.
PRACTICE always helps.

As a "side job", I was in charge of the firing range at one base (main job being security). Gov provided weapons and ammo, yet people never did extra practice on their own time.
