No problem Katman just curious about the law. Do you think it would be in your best interest to register in case a weapon got stolen and used in a crime or would you simply not report as stolen? Again no judgement or argument intended just curious If my weapons got stolen and used in a crime it wouldnt have my name on it, nor would it have to be on it legally. No reason to report a stolen weapon, they arent covered by home owners Ins.

Of course I dont register weapons found in storage. Its not required here. No problem Katman just curious about the law. Do you think it would be in your best interest to register in case a weapon got stolen and used in a crime or would you simply not report as stolen? Again no judgement or argument intended just curious This gets down to "Do you trust our gov". Right now I have pretty near 0 trust in anything the gov says or does. It was low before this past election, but has pretty much found the bottom of the barrel now.

Why would any sane person "register" a firearm with a gubment entity?
It is not required in most states--so why?
And someone explain to me how a person driving their own personal vehicle MUST be indiscriminate when offering a ride to vote? Or, a law is broken? What law? Maybe only take men!! Or only women! or only asians! or only whites! or only blacks!
since when must all races, creeds, genders, party support be provided rides by an individual private non-commercial vehicle?
I gotta see this LAW in writing.

But for the sake of argument What if your prints were on it or dna if you have had a test done? Now might not be an issue if you have no had fingerprints take or say use a print reader on a mobile device. Tis a conundrum I know not likely to occur but a decision one might make. Maybe you don't want it registered cause you dont want the gubment in your bidness Thats a reasonable thought process. But have some concern over a theft especially if you have a valuable piece and need record for insurance. No judgment here i would tend to keep the gubment out but there are potential bad ramifications especially in states like california Thanks for your thoughts

Everyone register your weapons with the gubment--even if not required--because maybe--well maybe--well possibly--well who knows--
Well--just get in the fetal position and be SCARED!!

That protection would be from criminals (defund police, plus you can't always rely on the police) and the gov itself if it gets bad enough.

Well im a registered owner of a couple of sigs and a sping field but had to have a background check when purchased st the gun shop so whether official or not at least in teaxs those are registered in fact if not by serial number. Private deals or inheritances or trades are different. Some folk register those i would not its like voluntarily paying extra income tax cause its a nice thing no way i would do that
Matter of fact negotiating with a friend for a 50 cal custom AR15 . Use em to kill wild hogs here $2.60 Per cartridge less you got access to or own reloaders. Bit of overkill imo but it is a sweet rifle.

Texas will be "proud" if you kill a bunch of um. Good luck. rr

The German army no longer used them, but the German railroad police did. All serial numbers match. Dad used to tell how he "killed some of King Mussolini's deer" with it when he was in Italy for the guys to eat. He used it deer hunting here till some time in the 80's. It has wear and tear, but is in very good condition.

Guns are Constitutional tools. I also have a solid set of Craftsman tools. No need to register them either. If somebody steals my pipe wrench and konks out an antifa terrorist with it I guess we could play what if with that too. PS I heard Biden broke his foot today stomping on a copy of the Constitution.
