You never know until they are signed and on campus. Even then there are pussies like Sharpe with no heart. Guys like that make me ill. Id play the Ag School Pickup players before playing a puss like Sharpe.
I say f%@! them getto welfare beg me to play twats.
Lets put some kids on thenfloor that want to play.
Wheeler is a midget, but he is no puss.
Big O may never be an NBA star, but he is no puss.
Toppin, is a kid making it own his merits, not his name. He will be a f%@!ing player.
Wallace is a tough kid. I like his dad's demeanor. He will be a player.
Frederick is the player we have been missing. Homestate kid with heart. Damn injuries especially those damn foot injuries are hard to over come. I think he will. Another player.
Collins thus far along with have shown great attitudes. He is a 3 or 4 year player and his dad knows it. He will be much better.
Livingston, I know nothing about except he is a big youngen with athletic skill. Time will tell be he aint a puss and that is clear.
I think this is the best group we have had in a few years. Cal has to step up and earn his damn paycheck. He is either UK good or not. We will see in the next two years. On paper, we are very good in 2022/23.
The next recruiting class is at this point loooking like the best ever.
IMO, if the next recruiting class comes together as expected, Cal brings home one title or we fire his ass. Life is tough, every one aint for Kentucky.
Is Cal ready to step up and be among the elite or is he just another good recruiter with no bench skills?
We have the right to judge as Cal's performance as the tax payers who fund his salary.
Cal has what appears to be two back to back teams with top 3 talent or better. It is time to "Win a National Championship" or move on.

Looks like we get Kingsley and he re classifies to play 22 all year. Not sure how he co exists with Oscar but he's a huge get. Bradshaw wants to get to cute it seems Ki gsley is better anyway n we get him 2 years likely as he backs up Oscar if he plays this year.
Edward's the likely #1 or #2 next season is considered a UK lock.
Dillingham and Reed are already signed.
Wagner is 50/50 UK OR UL
Cal n O are recruiting like its 2012. This will be our best class since that one.
Cal will never light the world a fire as a bench coach he's average at best there. But if he's got his recruiting touch back like it's looking it might not matter. We could literally get the 1,2, 5 recruits that's not counting Kingsley and Reed.
Might be a touch of masochism but I am liking our team alot next 2 years.
Only really concern player wise is Wheeler .... I mean dude needs to relax out there .
Not thrilled with Cal either but if they are again re ruiting as it's 2012 then that could cover up a lot of stink.

RR,
If we don't at least make the final 4 (barring injury) with a loaded roster like we have this season, Cal officially gets on the very hot seat.
If next year's roster turns out to be as good as it appear and he doesn't make the final 4, Cal is gone.
He has teams that appear to be loaded back to back. On paper if the leans turn into roster players,
Cal will have the best back to back teams since 2014 and 2015.
It is time to put up or quit.

I am (have been) ready to cut bait with Cal. Remember Patterson came to UK even after tubby ran out the back door in the middle of the night. Same is true with Cal, UK will be just fine without Cal.

The big Kingsley kid is IMO a terrific pickup.
He is long 7-5 wingspan, solid 235 pounds, 40 inch vertical, runs the floor well and most importantly he wants to play for Kentucky and he is willing to accept his role as a young learning stage kid playing backup and learning from the best player in college basketball.
He is a very bright well spoken, well mannered kid, who wants to work, plus he is defensively oriented and likes to rebound.
I have read scouting reports from 3 different pro scouts that claim he was the best shot blocker in high school last year.
I watched about 20 minutes of tape on him. He is very raw offensively, but he has a soft touch around the rim which usually indicates that a player has the potential to improve his offensive skills as he becomes more post savvy.
He is already well developed physically, but he needs to gain 25 pounds of muscle to be the intimidator he is capable of being.
He is inexperienced as an offensive post player, but as he learns how to get wide and make himself a good passing target, learn the angles around the basket that make for easy bank shots and to bend his knees and extend his rear end to create a low base, that is resistant to being pushed out of the post and allows him to use his lower body to power through contact on shots, he has the makings of a good old fashioned low post center like Oscar.
This season, his value is going to be providing post defense and rebounding when Oscar is out of the game. Before he signed, we did not have a backup that could do these things well enough to keep us in games against elite competition.
We can score without Oscar but until Kingsley signed we could not defend the post or control the boards. Ware is a warrior, but he doesn't have Kingsley's length, power or athleticism.
He is a guy that will be playing 12 to 15 minutes a game by seasons end, especially if he can hit free throws which I have no information on.
I think he is a lot better than some of the rankings indicate. He is not ranked very highly by some of the publications because he has only been playing in the US since January 2022. Most of the writers that have seen him play think he is
a top 20 prospect and I concur with that based on the 20 minutes of tape that I watched. He has the size, athleticism and motor to be really good.

I will go out on a limb and say WARE will get far more minutes than "UK", even at the end of the season.
WARE is gonna be a pleasant surprise.

RR,
I like Ware. He is actually one of my favorite players. He leaves it all on the floor, loves to do the dirty work and is fearless.
You may be right and I hope you are. Ware is clearly a worker. I just don't see him as a legit 5 at his height and he is not blessed with Kingsley natural athletic ability.
Ware is going to do some good things every time he is on the floor. The question is whether or not he can defend the better bigs like the Alcot kid at UNC or the Lively kid at Duke.
Both of those guys are over 7 ft and they are athletic.

We've got some great pieces, having Oscar back is an unbelievable bonus and I think C.J. Fredrick is going to be a huge weapon for us, finally a guy who can knock down the open 3 on a consistent basis. The only thing we're lacking to be a strong contender is a coach.
