Very good Riley. I was also thinking of South Korea when I mentioned Iran. You were around them a lot more than me. The ones I was around could be pretty cruel. Was I just around the wrong ones? How do you see it? ...no, seen them (ROK Soldiers) in Inchon, Seoul, Pusan (Busan), Chinhae, Taegu, and Osan....the ones in uniforms are mean looking mofo's....no Sailors messed with them when we saw them...it was always highly recommended to NOT f*ck with them....they were ALL business......... |

Japan and S Korea should both have large defense forces for their own protection.

I was in charge of a security alert team one night when we were called to investigate a situation where the ROK sector met ours. Turns out they had caught a Vietnamese prostitute trying to sneak on base. A slap flare was a metal tube. You'd point an open end in the direction you wanted to light up, slap the other end and it would make an area the size of two football fields broad daylight for a couple of minutes. They had stuck one in her and set it off. We could hear her screams a half mile away, primal screams, not human. There were a few other instances, but that was the worst. |

...there was a street in Pusan(Busan) that had many bars on both sides of the alley....kinda catered to the Americans and their greenbacks....occasionally the ROK would patrol down thru there and the looks they gave us was to kill.......we just didn't mess with them at all..........

Japan isxa concern as well. In 5 years with no restrictions Japan's Navy an airforce would be bigger than China's or close imo. With their tech, GDP an work ethic we may be trading 1 monster for another. Japanese have a totally different mindset n are much more hard core . China gets scared an panics while Japan gives no f%@!s. Second thought I say keep restrictions on both as we could win anyway. |

The people of Japan are far more WESTERN(US) than any of the asian countries of significance. They are nationalistic, hard working, self reliant and EDUCATED!!
Japan is not an enemy of democracy. Japan has no desire to create and autocratic entity in charge. Japan is closer to the western world than any country of asia.

Problem is, the West was/is called the "Great Satan" I used to think they were crazy calling America that, but it was the Satanic deep state all along controlling the narrative through media and corrupt politicians.
