TODAY: Governor Ron DeSantis slams discriminatory DEI-inspired corporate trainings and policies, provides an update on Florida's fight to defend employees' civil rights 👇🔥
"If you are an employee, you have a right to opt out of [DEI] training, if for example it says you have to say 'white people are bad', it's just ridiculous. ... Doesn't matter if you're white, black or anything, it's just not the way you treat people. Treat people as individuals."

There are strict penalties for any employer who forces an employee to take these DEI courses. You can opt out and tell them NO. The state will monitor and make sure the employee is not penalized. White people will not be forced into second class citizenship in Florida. Equal means Equal for all races.

There is no place for racism. I take the words of Martin Luther King as wisdom.
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly"
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly" I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. This has impacted my family. My grandson is a blue-eyed, blond, white male who will enter medical school next year. He found out that was not what the University of Kentucky Medical School wants. He graduates next week with a 4.0 in bio-physics and applied mathematics, never make any grade less than an A in his four years at Xavier U. His lowest grade was a 96.He is at the top of his class. He made a 520 on his MCAT which is 98-99% percentile. 510 will get you in UK or maybe less if you are a woman or minority.
He graduated high school from LaFayette in Lexington, #1 in his class, was born in Lexington and went to school 12 years in Lexington.
So, of course, he applied to UK Medicals School. He refused to apply at Duke or UL. So here is what UK told him. They are accepting women and minorities and he would have to wait to see if they could fill their class with only women and minorities. In other words get on a waiting list. He told them to stick it where the sun doesn't shine and withdrew his application.
He has been accepted at U Cincinnati Medical School, Emory in Atlanta and two Florida Universities. UF and FAU. Florida Atlantic U told him he could get some scholarship money, not easy when entering medical school. He will decide between Florida in Gainesville and Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton.
The reason he told me he would come to Florida was because DEI was never mentioned (it was at UC and UK) and he likes the way Florida is governed. He said he felt free down here and actually spent a lot of time down here during Covid because Florida was open.
Every state should do away with DEI and ESG. Hire the very best regardless of what they look like. America would be a better place if it was like that.

Yes, most of the world appears to be officially crazy. Good luck to your grandson.

Hiring people by the color of their skin is blatant racism. All of this is designed for division. Divide and conquer. Martin Luther King and JFK have a lot in common, the same 3 letter agency took them out, no-one will convince me otherwise. Bush 41 was pure evil. Great son you have there. America has one last hope in about 25 weeks. This country has been under attack from within, they are trying to JFK and MLK 45-47.

There was a guy selling Trump gear in a parking lot. He had a nice set up and said he had bought all the permits the city mandated. A black guy pulled a knife on him in an argument situation. He had a can of wasp spray and threatened to spray his face if he had to. The cops were called. The city gave him a few hours to pack his trailer and get out of town. I went back to see him before he left and apologized for the city and bought a couple of shirts. I think quite a few people did the same.

Fiddling, that's kind of like when I go to a storage unit I have won and it's got a lot of gold in it. I'll take my 2 friends to help me, Smith and Wesson. Both of them would make that knife lay still on the ground.

Carolina reaper juice is good for that. I would prefer non lethal options. But I'm 68 and I need to level the playing field.

I had to sit through that crap a few years back at an employer who shall not be named - it was a terrible experience and I vowed to quit before I ever had to take anything like that again. Fortunately, it kind of died out and I was able to move on to a new company that really doesn't care about DEI - we all just do our job and mind our own business.

But I'm 68 and I need to level the playing field. A few years ago when I had my last employee before Jan and I decided to semi retire, the guy's wife came to the shop one day and asked if she could sit with us awhile. She was visibly upset. A drug dealer was taken down in their apartment complex and cops were everywhere. As we talked about it, I gave her some options she would have to protect herself in certain situations. #1 is always try and avoid the situation, but as we talked, she said "You know all the dirty tricks don't you?" Uncle Sam did teach me a few.
