www.ukathletics.com/sports/m-baskbl/recaps/020712aad.htmlThis was Kentucky's largest margin of victory against a Top-10 team since a 99-65 win over No. 8 Indiana on Dec. 7, 1996.Kentucky's has won the last four games by at least 20 points, the first time since 1993 that the Wildcats had defeated four-consecutive regular-season SEC opponents by at least 20. UK limited Florida to 34.9 percent from the field. Kentucky entered the game leading the nation in field-goal defense at 35.8 percent. UF's 22.2 percent from three-point range is a season low for the Gators. UK shot 52.7 percent from the field, the 13th time this season (and third game in a row) that the Wildcats have made at least half their shots. UK shot a season-best 60 percent from three-point land, 9 of 15. UK made all 11 foul shots, the first time the Wildcats made 100 percent in a game since Dec. 19, 2009, vs. Austin Peay (18 of 18). UK is 69-1 under Coach John Calipari when holding the opponent to 67 points or fewer

There will be no running in practice today! Great job, boys!

All of the above notes are showing how special this team....I know rr has been sharing some other info on this team that just reinforces the above.....
the 69-1 record of Cal here at UK when teams score 67 points or fewer is amazing....the only one that didn't go our way was the final four game against UConn last year...

When UK makes a good % of 3 point shots, we may be unbeatable this year. As we were in 2010. Look at our 3 point % in our 3 losses that year. Tennessee and WVU were especially horrendous as I recall. And SC wasn't pretty. Difference is, that team would regularly throw in a clunker when it came to shooting, but with this year's team it is hard to picture them having a game where they would shoot 2-22 from 3, e.g. For one thing, we just don't shoot that many 3's, and second we just have better shooters...

we've had a few 2/12 type games this year from deep. it hasn't hurt us because the team doens't force the issue when the shots aren't dropping, and will get busy getting to the rim.

I agree.....this team is much more efficient on the offensive end and I think shares the basketball better.... I was just over at Ken Pomeroy's site and we are currently #1 in offensive efficiency and #7 defensively.....the 2010 won a bunch of very close games and the victory margin is nothing like this team....overall for the season we are beating teams by 20+ a game...the 2010 team allowed a number of marginal teams to stay with them particularly in the non-conference season.....I haven't looked up the margin of victory for that season but if my memory serves me it was around 13+ ppg....
