Don't give that asshack Weiss any hits. He is anti-Kentucky and anti-Cal.

I don't believe any of the rumors....Writers with no creativity to write a story they thought of on their own can cherry pick something like this without consequences for themselves and they can try to harm UK at the same time....I just don't buy Cal going to coach the Knicks.....He saw RP's mistake I doubt seriously as smart as he is that he didn't learn something from that.......

One way or another Cal is going to get paid NBA bucks at Kentucky.
On one level being the type of person he is, a job with the Knicks or Lakers has got to be appealing especially the Knicks, however UK offers TOP money, great lifestyle, high profile, and some interesting goals,
1. Win back to back or three championships in a row 2. Undefeated season 3. overcome the UCLA 11 championships with 12 at UK
There is great potential to achieve those goals at UK though I think it unlikely CAl coaches at UK for more then 10-12 years.
I don't worry much about rule changes, if the NBA players union goes for two years in school, CAl will adjust simply because his kids will still be better prepared for the pros, No one and dones, no problem see above.
Bottom line, Cal gets players because he prepares them professionally, if you think about it, isn't that the job of a college to give kids the tools needed to move on?
I think and am hopeful that he will stay. Money isn't the issue, challenge is and there are still some difficult challenges at UK, Challenges of excellence but difficult goals to try and acheieve.

The NBA is a grind. It's all about the players. Coaches are not high profile. Kentucky will go toe to toe with any NBA team when it comes to money...if Barney and the new president don't get involved.

Reading anything about Cal going to the NBA is a waste of time. No way is he going somewhere when he is the King of the Bluegrass, i.e. University of Kentucky, the number 1 school in college basketball. College kids do what he tells and teaches them to do. Pro players do what they want to do. He has all the money he wants. Being rich and happy is a lot better than being richer and unhappy being around people that are richer and have bigger egos than the coach has.

I think Calipari is gonna build a dynasty and the time to start worrying is if writers stop with the rumor mongering. We never had to worry about Smith or Gillispie going to the NBA....I wonder why? I was never worried about losing your boy smiff to anyone. But, you and your ilk, were certainly worried about tubby going to the Sixers. You may have a memory of convenience, but I do not.

I think Cal has learned from Pitino's mistake. It's not about the money as UK pays as much as the NBA. He is now a revered person in the Bluegrass and has the chance to become an iconic coach in the college ranks. What would the NBA offer that is more attractive then that?

Yeah buddy, you sure are the better fan and sure love to toot that horn of yours and let us Tubby scum know it. You are hornier than I am....but I digress...we are where we are today as fans...EACH of us, with the "exact same results" with the Cats. Seems like your opinions and mine meant about the same in where this program wound up. But by god, we all know it was because JD, who rode in on his horse and saved the day...BRAVO...thanks for the National Title, i'ts all about you Tonto! I never made any such claims, but far be it for you to tell the truth about anything.

Plus, you are a out and out liar. Not high praise for me, though. I don't know of anyone that posts here that is not a better fan than you except for the one admitted wvu fan.
