Someone fill me in. What the hell does the NCAA mean by having that rule? So if Davis waits to declare after that date what does that exactly mean?

I had this conversation with a guy today. It would be in the NBAs interest to have a 2 year rule in place. The kids develop more physically and emotionally on someone else's dime. The schools get some level of commitment and---most importantly--it doesn't affect us because the best will still want to be at Kentucky.

It was put in for the Coaches, so they would know where they were on the first day of spring signing... My question is if our guys wait till the end of the month, are these recruits gonna wait on them?? Man, you're right... I wonder if Cal has thought of that?

What are the ramifications of ignoring this NCAA rule? I don't mind Cal tweaking the NCAA at every chance, but I don't want him causing harm to the players or the University by doing so.
