NBAdraft.net has Lamb going #21 to Boston, and Teague going #25 to Memphis. Once workouts and individual interviews start happening,I can see both solid 1st rounders.
Their mock draft has:
#1 Davis #4 MKG #16 Jones #21 Lamb #25 Teague #36 Miller

I doubt that Chad Ford knows what the hell he is talking about, but say he does. Why should they have come back? They both want to be in the NBA. A 1st round pick will be a guaranteed 3 year contract. Damn, what's a 19 year old to do??

If these kids go first round then why should they come back? Guaranteed good three year contract, Teague has upside and maybe Lamb has some as a combo guard.
Geeeeez, I wish they'd have come back to but it ain't happening, hell both are much better then Meeks and he's stayed in the league.
We'''ll see they had to have some good data to make that decision.
I for one hope they do great.

A 1st round pick will be a guaranteed 3 year contract. Damn, what's a 19 year old to do?? I just wouldn't advise a kid to bet a Free College Degree on 3 spots in a NBA Mock Draft. The difference between these players and you and I JD, is that they don't ever plan on having to find a job.. Their dreams are fed by other dreamers!! I hope they all do well.. Who advised them to enter the draft? I'm sure they got advice from experts and not message board speculators. I'm also sure they gave advice to enter more heed because that's what they wanted to do. That's simply human nature. Teague is going to be a starting NBA point guard. Lamb is the one that needs the guaranteed deal. I hope he gets it. I can't see him in the league in 3 years. He will have to get a whole bunch better to keep a job in the NBA. This is their dream. They gave us our dream with a title. Be happy for the young men instead of trying to second guess our coaching staff.

buck been "wheelers" listening again!!! #th_biggrin#
when Bogans(top 5 player in his HS class) spent 4 years wasting time with teflonturd and was "chosen" in the 2nd round--it wa great--wonderful--exciting--tingle down the leg stuff.
Sadly--Bogans should have been a 1st rounder with proper development. Only Adrian Dantley at DeMatha was a starter for 4 years--and BOGANS.
teflonturd detroyed more talent than all the other UK coaches combined.
Lamb can spend 4 years at UK, and wil always be a marginal NBA 1st rounder. Not athletic--can't create his own perimeter shot, not a facilitator, not a shut down defender---just a GREAT SPOT UP SHOOTER!!
Reload and contend!! The times as UK fans is GREAT!! outstanding!! Wonderful!

If guys want to leave, so be it. I don't want people who don't even know me telling me what to do.

Lamb would be a good fit at Boston,IMO. I really hope he will blossom in the league learning the trade from a guy like Ray Allen.
Lamb will have to work his ass off,and develop a professional work ethic.

These guys left when they should have. If you are a first rounder after a title then go. Would of been grand to have one or both back but neither made the wrong decision. Even if Lamb slips to the 2nd round, he'll make the team and be in the rotation. Both made the best decisions for them.

I wonder if these mock draft peeps actually are around at work outs? I doubt it.
Before the start of this past year Teague was a sure fire first rounder according to many on this board. Then as the year started and he was having some trouble adjusting to pace and requirments those same started hammering him. He learned, he developed, he was coached and absorbed the coaching. He evidently has gotten enough positive feedback from those that really know that he would be a first round pick. Guaranteed three years good bucks, his dream and yes they do expect to work, albeit "a sport" but make no mistake...its year round conditioning, training and playing. ITs a job...a very hard job, its tiring mentally and physically, that's why you see even the very best players zone out at times during the season. Teague may have improved his status next year ... maybe not, almost assuredly he would not make up the money he will make from tis year over a three year period.
Lamb...he's where he's going to be, he's too small for a two, he's not quick enough to play 100% point, he is however basketball smart, not a black hole with the ball, and evidently a hard worker, not a locker room lawyer, and can shoot the deep ball as well as a very good FT shooter. He wants to play in the NBA he'll make a team, he'll play more than Meeks and be less trouble. He won't imporve his status with one or two years...better the income even not guaranteed. That's a bidness decision on his part with input from people that know the game.
I do not like seeing these kids leave early any more then anyone else, I want them to stay at UK and bring more wins, however a big reason they come to UK is because Cal lets it be known he'll do his very best to get them to the next level..quickly.
Now you really want to help these kids, give them accelerated 1 and 2 year course work in business, negotiation, investment, sports business, public speaking (yes it will be important) so that they can at least understand the ramifications of how they negotiate and use the money and not be in the dark while some agent or leech takes 8 to 10% off the top.
Let 'em live the dream, most of us would do the same thing, especially at that age and I for one wouldn't tell my son or daughter not to go for it.
Hell we forget about Miller, he might even impress somone in workouts, skill set wise he's better then most players in the draft, mentally competative wise is where he lacks 1 round status.

I think Lamb would have been a terrific fit at UK next year. I hope it all works out OK for him. UK will move on. As you can see, players make a boatload of money just doing autograph tours. That would have still been there and possibly a higher draft position but likely pier pressure of his whole team splitting played a part. You should've done some autograph tours after your tubbi videos. #th_laff#
