I grew up playing baseball with the Skaggs boys in Greenup County. Randy was my age and Jack a couple of years older. There older brother was Steve. He was a heck of baseball and basketball player. He led Greenup County to the semi-finals of the state one year where they lost to Owensboro led by Jerry Thurston.
Steve went on to be the all time leading scorer at Ohio University in basketball before Gary Trent broke his record.

Well his son Kyle Skaggs is playing for the high school I attended Russell and is the 4th leading scored in the state at 25.8 ppg. I guess he has his daddy's genes.
