I'm having the boys over to watch the bowl games on New Year's Day. Do you guys have any suggestions on what I should make? Grilling is probably out of the question so I will probably make something along the lines of chili or stew. Would like to have something else, preferably another meat option. Thinking about met wurst with sauerkraut or something along those lines.
Could you guys help me out with ideas??

Try specialty burgers. Take a big hunk of ground hamburger, make many large patties and cut a bunch of brats down the middle.
Then put the uncooked brats on the burger, then put your toppings, hot peppers, onions, cheese, whatever you like or your guests like. Encase all that in with another pattie over it and cook em a long time until the brats are done on the inside and make buns out of whole loaves of bread from the deli and serve some side dishes of your choice.
Some little rivers of cheese may leak out, thats when you know you are really getting ready to have the best burger in town.

Another thing I like to do, but haven't in a long while is make "Dog Burgers" No, its not a real dog....what I do is take a big splatter of ground beef that has been peppered and salted and roll it out with a rolling pin, making the hamburger meat flat and about 6 inches wide and about 8 inches long and then ROLL UP into a giant hot dog, onions, peppers and cheese and perhaps some garlic and then grill the giant dog on the grill till done. UMMMMMMMMMMMM....Dog Burgers...Yummmmmmmmm
Please, dogs are family members, not food...dont read this wrong.....LOL The trick is to find extra larger buns for the dogs or you can take the dog after being cooked and put a home made batter on it and deep fry the dog for a few minutes and then take it out....let drain and put it on a plate, sprinkle some shreadded cheese on it and serve with a side order of fries. (and a fork) Make sure to put some pickles and peppers as a garnish on the side.

Kman they got Tombstone pizzas at Kroger 4 for 10 bucks with card, good deal. and bananas, 39 cents a pound. love their fried chicken. Yep, if I see that here I'll stock up. I like using Tombstone pizzas to build a real kick ass pizza with, they make a good solid foundation to build a deep dish pizza on. Just take a package of buscuit dough and build a complete ridge around the perimeter of the pizza, get a can of tomato sauce and shreadded cheese and onions, peppers, bacon bits ground up beef jerkey, hamburger, sausage and you have the holy grail. But by all means dont forget to pile it DEEEEEEEP in hot peppers and if you want to make it a great pie with a roof on it, take another package of buscuit dough, build a roof and pile on a pound of shreadded pepper jack cheese and diced jalepinos as a garnish.

I love salmon too. and catfish. We cook the Salmon on the George Foreman grill. I like dipping mine in a combination of horseradish sauce and cocktail sauce. I like the horseradish so hot you have to chew with your mouth open or it burns your nose.

You guys like seafood you should head up to Jungle Jim's. Have the best selection of fresh sea food around. Makes Kroger look like a bitch.
