I won a Chili cook off a few years back - so if you are bored and want to try this chili go for it.
Easy to make not really cheap but really good.
Buy 2 packages of steak meat (for fondue) they should have it right with all the other cuts and by the stew meat -- DO NOT get the stew meat it sucks.
1 - Jalapeno - sliced
1 - Serrano - chopped
1 - Habenero - finely chopped
1 - Large Red Onion - chopped
2 - bundles of green onion tips - chopped
2 - red bell peppers
2 - packets of McCormick Hot chili seasoning
1 - bottle of Minced Garlic (2 table spoons)
1 - bottle of Ginger (1 Table spoon)
1 - bottle of Cayenne pepper (perferably from a mexican grocery - it's better) -- 1 teaspoon
1 - bottle of cocoa - 1 tablespoon
5 - vine ripened tomatoes (chopped into 4 slices each)
2 - cans of Bush's chili beans
2 - can's of Red Gold stewed tomatoes "for Chili"
Put Steak in first and cook until chunks are seared - DO NOT over cook to start as it cooks more when everythign is init anyway.
Drain the grease in the sink with a spoon
add Veggies ( peppers n Onions ) - cook for 5 minutes just Meat and veggies on 5
add the Beans and sauces and stir every few minutes for about 30 minutes
takes maybe 1 1/2 hours total in Prep/cook time -- and it tastes really good!
