I cant imagine the pile of money I've saved by quitting alcohol.....But I will say this, the absolute worst beer I ever drank was Black Label, it tasted like you would think horse shit would taste. The best beer I ever drank that was cheap was Falls City. That beer reminds me of my dad who would get Falls City beer in the bottle so cold, it was almost frozen.
My dad retired at 52 and lived in his cabin with his wife (still living) at Rough River, its in Grayson Co and thats a Dry County so he would stock beer from Louisville. He would usually keep about 15-20 cases of Falls City on hand. He would tell me that when he got down to 5 cases he got very nervous and made sure he took a road trip to buy more of the illegal substance. I miss that beer drinking guy, he was everybodys friend. Everyone here would have loved him.

I remember when Sterling came out with those "Big mouths" I drank it some but it was never one of my favorites. When I was in high school, the big deal was getting "Coors" you couldn't get it around here then and high prices were paid for this beer. Its OK, but back then it was a cult favorite.

Black Label, and Blatz...just terrible...won't drink it. A cheap beer that I drank a lot in college was Wiedemann's $5.20 per case of bottles. Some more cheap beer I drank when I was broke was Drummond Brothers, and Pearl Beer.

My dad always told me that you could get any beer so cold that it would taste good.....I dunno, you could sit a case of Black Label on Pluto for 6 months and it would still taste like horse shit.

Some more cheap beer I drank when I was broke was Drummond Brothers, and Pearl Beer. I for got about Pearl beer. That was some crap. I also remember Sterling very well since it was brewed in Evansville, In. I was buying from bootleggers when they came out with the "Big Mouth". It was pretty bad beer no matter the size of the mouth. Was a time when that was the only beer you could buy at Ellis Park. Sterling had an exclusive contract with them. Now the beers I just can't drink are any of the Samual Adams, Miller Lite, Stroh's, {if they even still make it?}, PBR, {although I did dink some PBR longnecks in Vegas a couple of years ago because they were a $1 each}, Fat Tire, {Streeter told me about that one}, Bud Light Lime and Red Stripe, {had to drink it in Jamacia 3 years ago because that's all they had at our resort}. That's the ones I can think of. I don't know why I can't drink Miller Lite. I can drink the Miller High Life and the 64 but just can't stand the Lite. Not a fan of regular Bud either.

See, these people just don't understand the beauty of Natural Light, to a guy who likes to drink a lot of beers. I mean, obviously if I'm wanting to sit down with a real nice steak I would prefer to have a real tasty full bodied beer. But if I want to watch a couple ballgames and drink 6 or 8 beers, then I like a beer described in the same way they describe Natural Light!! --- "Natural Light, with its impossibly watered down texture and even less exciting aftertaste." I mean, DUH guys, that's the point. I can drink a f*ckin million of em. I suck em down like a vacuum cleaner. just WHOOOOSH!

I forgot about Rolling Rock too. That's pretty bad beer. I remember trying to give some of it away to some guys on a picket line and they wouldn't even take it.
You know it's bad beer when out of work guys won't take it off your hands for free.

When I was about 10-12 years old, I would go into a grocery store and grab a 6 pack of cokes that were cardboard wrapped and take out 4 cokes and slip 2 Oertels 92 beers in the middle and slap two cokes back in. You could only see the ends so the beers were neatly hidden. I would go and pay for the "cokes" and nobody ever caught me.
I honestly dont remember what they tasted like, I just wanted to share. To me at that age....beer was beer.
