LEXINGTON Kentucky! Never thought I would say that or even thought about it for that mnatter. I was at Bar Louie the other day and they have like a 100 different beers on tap and I saw something called "Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale". I thought it would likely suck but why not give it a try... Damn that was some REALLY good beer -- I knew you all were great at Making whiskey in Kentucky but who'd a thought you all could make such good beer!
Only wish there was a store around here I could find it in. Might have to have JD or DMR bring up a few cases when in december...

But you told me about the Flat Tire and that's about the worst beer I ever drank. So if you can drink that crap you can certainly enjoy the Ky Ale.

The other thing I like about KY bourbon barrel ale is it's like 8% so I don't have to drink as many ...

When I used to drink, there wasn't all these exotic flavors, but "cold" was my favorite to. In Viet Nam they gave us Black Label in old rusty cans that was awful. Turkish beer was terrible. Stroh's was to sweet to drank much of it. Other than that, if it was cold, it was drinkable.

It wasn't bad because the cans were old and rusty. Its just bad beer, and I hesitate to call it beer, its more like someone flavored piss with licorice and then added a dab of diarrhea juice

falls city was a particularly nasty brew...my dad's beer of choice for some unGodly reason...50 cents per 6 pack may've played a part, but as there were other cheap beers at the time, i'm not sure why eh latched on to that nasty swill

He used to get it so cold it tasted good (to him...I could get it down). Right up to the freezing mark. I called it Falls Shitty but I would always take him up on one when we were out on the lake. Thats back when you could cruise Rough River with beer in plain sight. My grandfather worked at Falls City Brewery for 30 years before they closed.

^ one of the funnier things I've seen lately is a buddy of mine get puking drunk on that bourbon ale...he was matching us bottle for bottle early in the night (him drinking the ale, the rest of us Budweiser); by midnight he was purging his guts on our other buddy's patio. Charles said he got up the next morning to a "surreal" scene of a bunch of birds fighting over the biggest chunks....

For one thing, I think it's about 8%.
