I usually stick with either Don Julio, Angel's Envy, or Johnnie Walker for my after work drink. And mostly just drink beer when watching sports. But KBBA is starting to be an afterwork staple for me. Strong enough to still get a buzz with 2 beers and really tastes good -- smooth with a initial hint of bourbon with a sweet finish. Being the borderline "functioning" alcoholic I am beer does work to get a buzz for me unless I drink 4-5 in like an hour. And I HATE IPA's so until I found this little gem I couldn't find a single good tasting stronger beer.
I wonder how much is KBBA in Kentucky? I know when I buy it here it's like 12 bucks for 4 bottles. Is the price different there?

Oh boy, yeah I wouldn't wanna do that with it. For one thing, I think it's about 8%. ^ you probably have to know the guy to truly appreciate the story. he's the most successful dude from our group--high dollar real-estate attorney working out of Atlanta--pays more for his haircuts than I do for a new pair of golf-shoes; his yearly country club dues are @ 3X what I paid for my last vehicle. but one night back in his ol' stompin' grounds w/ the homeboys and he's immediately 19 again and out to prove he can outdrink everybody else at the table... Ha. Sounds like a fun guy to spend a night with.

I like KBBA, but one or two is enough of them for me. I am mainly a Bud light drinker, and sometimes enjoy Miller lite. Every now and then I like a little Woodford Reserve. When it was announced we hired Cal, I went out and bought a bottle of WR. It was only to opened when we won #8. Soon after that I scurried out and bought another bottle for # 9. Last year I got it out and wiped the dust off of it. It is ready to be served.
