I'm a poor old dumb country boy who sometimes can't follow the more complex ideas of the economy, but I've always thought supply and demand was better than artificial actions.

That was a known factor. Everyone KNEW it would reduce jobs, yet they did it anyway. It reminds me of taking a snap down 2 scores and taking a knee.
I mean, it's never been about HOW MUCH, its about getting that start and then moving up. Now, many wont get that chance, because some feel the climb can just be there as if by magic.
I mean, if a country was trying to self implode, you are seeing the script unfold without a hitch.
