I ussually never like Hard cider as it's always too sweet and I feel like i am drinking soda with liqour. My girlfriend bought this cider for herself and left it at my place ... I ran outta beer so decided to drink one....... damn actually pretty decent stuff - not that sweet and much better than that Redd's garbage -- it's called Strongbow. If your in the mood for something light and crisp you could do worse.

I first drank Strong Bow when I was on a rugby tour back in 1995 and it was on tap....really good stuff...the other one that I loved on tour was Blackthorn...Came back to the states and drank both for years until I gave up drinking 10 years ago...

Back when I drank, my favorite beverage was Corona with a slice of lime in it. The absolute WORST (to me) was Carlings Black Label. Just horrible...

When I was stationed at Phan Rang, the only beer we could get was Black Label and it came in old rusted cans. Some general was colluding with Carling for kickbacks. At least he got caught. I had little kids in a small village in the middle of nowhere try to sell me ice cold Bud and all we could get was rusty Black label.

Thats pretty bad. It could have made people sick (rusty cans) had it rusted through.

AS for Beer -- the older I get even though it's heavy - I can't find a beer better than Guiness - it's so smooth going down and has a nice taste. Maybe it's cause I take an annual golf trip now to Ireland and really found an appreciation for it but I have to say thats the beer I order when I just want to go safe.

Would love to find Stronbow on Tap -- but the only Ciders on Tap always suck and are so sweet it's nasty. Strong bow is the first one that taste like apple but it's not sweet.

Back when I drank, our boss used to buy us beer on Fridays. He sent me up to get a 6 pack for the 6 of us. I decided to buy a 6 pack of Guiness. I dont know why, I guess because it was expensive and I didnt have to pay for it......HA.......But anyway, the guys hated it. Two of em drank theirs holding their nose, the other 3 spit out the first sip and I ended up drinking 4 of em minus 3 spit out sips. I'll be honest with you, not trying to be argumentive, I swear, but that beer (to me) tasted like crap dipped in mud. It was so heavy, thick feeling. I just drank the 4 of em because they were there and cold and it was more fun than working. It was hot that day too.
