I have a very special dish I like to prepare occasionally I thought I would share.
First, you take a Rib eye steak and cut it into shoestring french fry size pieces. Then you marinade those pieces over night in the fridge in a bowl of tabasco sauce/Jalepino chopped pieces.
The next day, lay those awesome meat fries on a pan, then place in oven at 425 degrees, occasionally stirring them around until they begin to char real well and get totally dry.
I also make shoestring fries and have them as a side and any vegetable I'm in the mood for. I will dip the meat fries in a special soy/jalepino sauce and the potatoes in cold ketchup. Its one of my favorite recipes.

does it taste like jerky? It kind of does. I got the idea from watching BBQ Pitmasters who were talking about the best part of the BBQ was the burnt ends, I've always enjoyed well done food and crunchy fries, so I invented my own version (With beef instead of pork) and called them meat fries.

Not much going on in sports right now, but just to update this post, I'm making meat fries again tonight after making some very hot habanaro/horseradish dip this afternoon. The wife wont use the dip though.
Its going to be hot, but really good. The hard part of it is the meat preparation. Tonight I am cutting up some grain fed boneless strip steaks into fries. Lots of prep work but they are great for kicking back and relaxing while watching some TV with the o'lady.
If anyone is interested in the dip I made, in case you make some meat fries....here it is....
1/2 habanaro pepper 1/2 cup horseradish sauce 1/4 cup Soy sauce
Blend it all until the habanaro is the consistancy of the rest and it should hurt a bit come tomorrow morning but those meat fries will be awesome tonight.
ENJOY!

Food doesn't really appeal to me. I eat for sustenance and convenience. A few things I hate, but there's practically nothing I like.
