Keep Private schools as they are an even some elite or even above average public at same costs......... but make the lesser public schools free tuition u pay rm n board. What will happen eventually as a result is the Pay schools would come down in price as they would have to , you cut down on the college debt problem dramatically. You don't see the trickle down issues as well. A student goes to a decent school owes 120K in debt after (from 4 years school) Student knowing these days a Bachloer isn't whats needed goes 2 more years to Grad school - add another 60-80K. Student enters his first job around 150-200K in debt Starting jobs in almost any field don't pay much Every payment you miss becasue you can't pay it adds up on penalties The student loan issue is a bubble maybe not as big as the housing bubble but it's close - when it burts its going to hurt everyone.

Everyone is not college material. It reminds of a quote I heard about Deron Johnson (a former MLB player). He was a football/baseball star in HS. "50 colleges wanted him, but 20,000 professors didn't." Everyone doesn't have the same work ethic. I think gov has played a role in reducing work ethic in the general population. Some people are more suited for manufacturing type jobs, and I fear those type jobs will not be plentiful in the future.

We need to see a rise in popularity of vocational schools- and stop pushing 4 year + debt on young people who dont have a pot to piss in, nor a window to throw it out of.

True, but we need manufacturing jobs to be available to them. With the "global economy" and the rise of AI to do some jobs, I fear for those type jobs being available in large numbers.

I can see manufacturing jobs coming back to the US under Trump. We shall see.

So the us system allows any child to study any field if they have the chops to get in school. The rest of the world requires testing to simply show the ability to become an engineer biologist teacher etc. you dont have that here to get into undergrad simply accetable grades and sat or act sufficient to go to a four year school if you dont jc is still an option. Ivy league for example operates more on the world system they dont generally let marginsl students in and they give large aid psckages to students based on family income. You still may need help and thats where decisions come in. As taxpayers we pay about 12k for public education traditionally college has been optional of that 12k what results do we see according to reports we spend more per student get poorer results those are not my numbers they are hard facts other countries have larger avg classes fewer teachers and the teachers spend less time actually teaching then here they counsel and tutor generally i do not see that here. The government caused much of the issue encouraging prohibitive loans schools built buildings with gubment funds rather then incesting in teachers? Ney is better spent providing aid. University research is not as targeted as private industry so bang for buck is less. All of this drives the tuiton costs all of those expenditures by gubment comes from our taxes and is heavily misused. Loans are had they default and people want taxpayers to pay the bill again. We do that and guaranteed we rinse and repeat because the cycle isnt brokjen its enabled Scholol is more expensive now i get it the wife and i had to deal with it but we managed. We made sure our daughter had her priorities rightwe started a fund as soon as we were married planning for our kids schooling she went to public schools and made the most of that education she was ready for college. Not everyone has the advantage of parents that will sacrifice from day one or can for that matter but everyone of those folks in theory paid taxes another bite and a rather big one of that apple will not improve things. Hard fact 20 percent of taxpayers pay 80 percent of the taxes money is not there. Kids need to realize thst yove no inherent right to go to a four year scholl and all that entsils you may be able to achieve the goal with jc and night scool over eight years. Its u fortunate i get it i have an ms and an mba going at night on my nickel No doubt it is tougher to go to school now but gubment meddling still more in the system aint the solution btw it was gubment that privatized some of the lenders Btw i still pay big taxes for school im not getting much bang for my buck pretty new buildings and facilities teachers going on strike midyear but that is where my taxes go bail em out. Naww i already do thst

Government/shadow government is the biggest threat to freedom we face today.
The constitution is our best tool against it, but snowflake sheeple, communists and America hating scum wont, or are too dumb, to heed those wise warnings from our early leaders.
Much action has been taken place to take down the web, it will someday start again. Perhaps we need to warn our future citizens as well...OR, are they too far gone/assimilated?
