Next to Cali Kentucky is tbe 2nd largest grower of weed I think per state. Yet still no legalized weed in my for recreational use? In Illinois right now theres 2 hour lines just buy and that's at 25 to 30% tax rates. A lot of money Kentucky is leaving on the table.......

There was a large hemp plant supposed to be coming to our town. It's about 2 miles from my shop. They got about half way through construction and everything has stopped. It was on the news last night that something like 71 people are suing the company who was opening the plant.

As a side note in 88 or so the biggest marijuana bust in the nation was in hopkins county two miles or so as the crow flies from the state police barracks and all home grown literally. jd might remember it.
Just a bit of useless info ky climate is supposedly ideal for growing the plant i have never been a user and personally feel its a gateway drug. It does have medical benefits though and in an odd way a reason for the rising success of cbd

Who benefits for its illegality is the question? Then you can see why.
It's like Riley said, people who want it can get it as easy as people who want the more intoxicating drug alcohol in dry counties.

I teresting thing though you tax to much and illegal sales will still thrive in a preverse way capitaliism and demand to drive the market Its true dispensaries are charging g 60 bucks plus 25 to 30% tax for 1/8 . Where I can get 240 an oz from my connect. But if it follows line in the west coast after ther first year the dispensary prices drop off a cliff after the novelty wears off. But ur still seeing massive amounts of tax dollars for the state on opposed to none. Kentucky I believe is next to only Cali in terms of producing weed. My point is they are leaving alot of money out there. In a few years it likely is federal anyway.
