Main stream news poo poos it and dismisses it bur real folk or at least 70% of the country think its a fraud. The left likes to make you think one size solution fits all. Everytime the govt makes rules like that things get worse. Street cops have to deal with bad situations on the fly you can teach general procedure and policy but you have to improvise sometimes. Seal Training is the best in the world they are diciplined but they are also taught to improvise. Choke holds are not needed as much as they are used however to totally ban or not to train properly is foolish there are situations where its needed. Anfifa sure as hell teaches it. There are a lot of hotheads and dumbasses that are cops they need weeding out. Cop pay needs to be such that you get a higher quality man. Better training. Example that fool that pushed the old man down and the old fella busted his head open. To the cops credit he stopped to see how the man was and maybe to assist but his guys pushed him on in hopes i guess of hiding their fellow. Thats dumb first the cop reacted imo in panic all he had to do was pull the man by the arm aside and move on. Second mistake was trying to hide the first one by moving him along. Thats situational stuff those were nyc cops some of the best trianed in the world. It came up short in a really relatively peaceful protest. What we have now is defund cops probably planned action but on the surface not well thought out by politicians to gain personal control what we need is a good dialogue of police, public, and elected officials to get a template for training and screening for police. Take some money from planned parenthood and all government programs to get the training. Like people everywhere cops are good folk but liike everywhere you have your thugs bullies and criminals. what is a "relative peaceful protest"? just 1 building burned? just 1 house looted? just 1 person beaten or killed? just 1 car demolished and/or set on fire? just 1 major highway blocked and traffic stopped? so what constitutes a non-peaceful demonstration? how many business looted? how many people maimed or killed? how many places burned? how many cars destroyed? why is it a nice peaceful demonstration when ANY person is assaulted? Any business looted? Any car burned? What if it is YOUR business, house, car or person? what if it is your wife or daughter attacked? THEN--just 1 such event makes the demonstration a RIOT--a terror attack--nonpeaceful! As long as it is the "OTHER" guy--then it is PEACEFUL. I only had a few years as a military policeman, but it tends to make me look at things more kindly toward the police viewpoint. I was never asked to stand guard at a riot, but once in the late 60"s a group of us were on stand-by to go if needed. We didn't go, but a lot of what if scenarios go through your mind. Police are not super heroes. They have the same fears, frailties and weaknesses as everyone else. This is not to take up for the cops in the Floyd case, but when you are dealing with humans, you are going to get some bad actors and even sometimes decent people are going to make mistakes that result in bad outcomes. I'll guarantee you that cops out there today are going to be more on edge and therefore apt to sometimes act to quickly. They want to go home safely when their shift is over.

Just an opportunity to justify THUG actions and be provided a feely good hand wringer "understanding" response. Yet, those same hand wringers ignore the activities of the opposition to a fairly elected president. Including lies, distortions, spying, and use of fraud and most all gubment agencies to prevent governing. Now, that deserves a REAL march--REAL disruption of the deep state, real voices to demonstrate and curtail the very agencies involved in the COUP!! Hand wringers don't promote "Let the system work" for 1 dead THUG--but always ready to look the other way and accept "the system" to take care of the wrong. Double standard--YES!! For 3-4 years every agency of the federal gubment was led by a rogue obama to deny the election of a president. All we heard from hand wringers was "let the system" determine the truth!! Will they? do they want to? No riots--just wait and see!! When the THUG was murdered--riots and looting is deemed justified. Destruction is recognized and upset required venting. Yet--the accused murderer and his cohorts were charged and removed from duty quickly. How sad when anarchy is justified, riots and destruction called "mostly peaceful"--but a COUP attempt is ignored and accepted as worthy of waiting on the system to sort it out. rr |
