Certainly a lot of other programs know how poorly coached we are. Now after rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic, Calipari gets another stretch of seasons to put the killshot on this old Horse.
RIP UK BASKETBALL 2024

No surprise. Mitch needs firing first then the new AD fires cal and starts over. I just hope there are enough fans left to rekindle the fire.

This is the saddest day in the history of UK basketball. GREATNESS is destroyed by begok--barnie--capiTURD. We shall never see it as it once was. I cry for those who will never experience the many wonderful memories so many have enjoyed. From hilltops in cars, rotating radios to hear Cawood, that last Rupp story after a game, Championships of all kinds, players great and memorable, so many Kentucky mountain boys,----"gone with the wind". I will be 79 in late April---and can remember a little of Hagan and Ramsey, Spivey, Burrow--a lot of the fiddling five--the RUNTS--and all those between and since!! It is over---may they all rest in peace. rr

MB made it official that begok is back. Yep, I recall the adults talking about Beard and Groza. I recall some about the Hagan group and the fiddlers are my all time favorites. I loved Rupps radio shows. Begok gargles dingleberries and then swallows them.

Knowing how gutless and neutered Barney is, the fact that Donut continues to infect Kentucky Basketball with his worthless unwavering incompetence comes as no surprise to me. I do wonder how much ineptitude will it take for noodle spine Barney to fire Donut, does UK have to become IU or even U of Smell for him to grow a pair and pull the trigger. Something tells me if Barney was the U of Smell AD Kenny Payne would be back for his third year.

Kenny Payne would have a lifetime contract if Mitch had anything to do with it.

Mitch Barnhart @ukmitchbarnhart · Follow As we normally do at the end of every season, Coach Calipari and I have had conversations about the direction of our men’s basketball program and I can confirm that he will return for his 16th season as our head coach.

It is over---may they all rest in peace. rr Great post RR. I was born in July of 1943 so that tells you how old I am. Still going strong but now with a broken heart. A heart ripped out by Barney and knowing Begok will still be with UK coach and left to finish off a once glorious program.
I too started with the Fabulous Five as a 5 year old boy laying on the floor listening to the Cats on the radio with my daddy. The first game I saw in person was the 1958 Final Four held in Louisville and won by UK. I was 14 years old, nearly 15. After the Cats beat Elgin Baylor and Seattle, I told my daddy I wanted to go to UK. We came all the way from Florida to attend that game. Now those memories are tarnished by a WOKE university who degrades that period of UK basketball. I am finished.

Hearing decision came down to Craft family refusing to give Cal a golden parachute. Mitch didn't want to get a team of donor's together he expected Craft to foot entire Bill .
Anything that requires work Mitch won't do.
