Get out now. Take the last flight out of Saigon. The Marxist surge has taken over Lexington and has swallowed up the UK program in its entirety. Take your memories with you and don’t let the inevitable propaganda from the university and athletic department taint you and your treasured recollections of UK’s storied past. Be done with anything having to do with this fascist university. It is not the institution that you spend the early par of your life in. It is macabre imitation fostered to advance a diabolical totalitarian agenda and indoctrinating young people to the Marxist credo. A new history will be written without regard to the real truth of what this program has achieved over its long and distinguished past. Adolf Rupp will soon be obliterated from the annals of UK lore. And John Calipari, the Marxist enabler, will touted as the new shining deity of UK basketball. Up to now woke philosophy has merely made you mad. Going forward it will make you sick to your stomach as life in a communistic milieu inevitably does. The new doctrine will soon become lore and younger fans will be denied the real history that preceded them. They are lost and cannot be saved.
DD should refocus its format. From this point forward we shouldn’t waste time regurgitating the same tired criticism of Begok and the evil that surrounds the administration. That battle is over and done with. We have lost. Instead I would encourage the moderators to consider a change to he discussion and open it up to a reflection of great, past UK players, teams, games and anecdotes involving Rupp and anyone else involved in the vintage years before Calipari. To continue to focus on the future program will be to subject yourself to propaganda which is intended to erode the specialness of the past, which soon will obliterate your memories to a blur which you will no longer fully recognize.
I have greatly enjoyed my time at DD but I for one will no longer engage in the same tired panoply of criticism of Calipari, Barnhart, etc. We did our best to turn back the tide of woke indoctrination, but that battle has been lost. It is now a redundant, unproductive exercise and a true waste of energy. I won’t have anything to do with the future of UK basketball. It is now in my rear view mirror with only the open road ahead and a breeze in my hair. A road all of us can enjoy as we live out our remaining years. At 72, I know what’s important in life and what isn’t. UK basketball, sad to say, no longer is important and I want to go forward surrounding myself with making new memories and enjoying life to the fullest. We will always have our memories. They will never take that from us. Best of luck to all.
