Coming off an historically bad era under former assistant Kenny Perry, Louisville has fallen off the national radar and UK fans will probably not be as viscerally immersed in the annual rivalry as in years past. With Arkansas however, led by the disgraced snake oil salesman who is now probably the most despised person to ever step foot in Lexington, next year’s home game against the Razorbacks will be the most anticipated, hotly contested, emotion-laden game in recent memory. It will be a ticket that will impossible to come by as UK fans will want to vent their considerable animus against the long-time con man and his complete disrespect for everything UK. Given Begok’s own humiliation of being driven out of town, he and his enormous ego will be coming into Rupp wanting to rip Kentucky apart, while Mark Pope will be pulling out all the stops to try to seal a victory; a prospect that if it should occur will forever endear him in the hearts of Kentucky basketball fans. They’re going to have to call in extra security as the hate toward Begok may well manifest itself into heretofore unprecedented acts of hostility against him. They will probably have to seriously screen for weapons at the entrance. Begok himself is probably seriously dreading the encounter if for no other reason than he will bear the brunt of the Kentucky fans contempt for all he represented during is way too long tenure in Lexington. Not wanting to miss the action, the game will be nationally broadcast as fans everywhere will wonder to what extent the contest might get out of hand. Mark your calendars. This is going to be WWIII.

We now have a coach who will put The University of Kentucky first. It has been a long time since we had that at UK. That alone gives me optimism and a desire to support my new coach.
The next few weeks will bring a lot of joy to real UK fans. Those who worshiped one and done and the coach that left can get off the wagon and out of our way.

Yep - I've broken out the UK mugs and gear again. A new day has dawned and I'm once again proud to be a UK fan. Now if somehow, the commie UK president would only follow the snake oil salesman out of town....

Won't be easy as this will be Arkansas' super bowl. Sure would be nice to get a win that game.

The more I become familiar with our new coach and watching that amazing press conference today at Rupp and how Mark Pope absolutely killed it, all the negative feelings I've been carrying around for the last 5 years toward Donut and the sad state of Kentucky Basketball has been washed away. I could not be more excited about the future of Kentucky Basketball!
