Stoke can score, he doesn't have much of a handle on the ball and right now he is badly out of shape.
But once he gets in game shape and has a PG that can feed him, he is going to be a handful

Why bitch about Miller he has been a pussy since he put on the jersey.
By the way that was 4 years ago
Miller is soft, hides in the corner when on the court. Might as well put him down on the bench with Little Polson

Lamb had good defense on him all game as tenn knew he could kill them if left open. He ran good routes off of screens but his man was holding him all night long. They played him sorta like we did Kuric for UL.

I was always to slow to play the point, but my daughter was like Teague on a smaller female scale. She was always the quickest player on the court, but only a fair shooter. I observed the plusses and minuses, the benefits and the problems associated with this.
She could get into the lane against about anyone she played, but once the D realized this and made adjustments, the problems began. She wasn't big enough to get her shot off against the inside defenders when they packed the lane, so she had to have someone available for the pass or to pull up for a short jumper. For these things to happen, this brings the proper players being in the right places into the picture. Otherwise, it's a blocked shot or prayer type shot. Several people have talked about spacing. If Teague (or anyone really) getting in the lane is going to be part of our offense, we have to provide them with options once they get there.

Oh, one other point. With speed and quickness, the open court was her friend, a set defense wasn't nearly as friendly. I'm thinking with our team speed, an open court would be more friendly to us. I'm also wondering if Cal is worrying about our depth in relation to that style. If so this would appear to be a yearly concern.

everything you're sayin makes sense to me Fid. Cal has tried a few times to do a full court press with mixed results. Does he have open court play in mind? Then he does as JD says "grinder" things. What does he have in mind there? I admit I don't know squat, but I'm confused. To bad we can't sit down with Cal in an informal situation and play 20 questions!

Jd you make some good points..Our spacing is terrible right now and has been most of the year..We are not hard to guard..Now I will disagree with a minor point, that being I dont think Jones is a better ball handler than MKG..
Jones is too robotic and takes too long to think about what move he is going to make. Watch some video on Julius Randle and you will wish Jones had that kind of game now..Terrence needs to step it up big time or we wont win it all...Lamb and Miller need to get tougher and thats all there is to it..we need their outside shooting desperately..
I agree that Cal maybe ought to watch more film of other teams. I also think Teague is playing much better than he was and his last 3 games have been very good..I think he is starting to get it. His defense yesterday was outstanding..Should be a fun rest of the year.

Cal talks alot of bs too. He has to say so or put him in street clothes. Not a fan of 1 and done but pray a foolish GM picks him. Marquis Teague, G 38 3-8 0-0 1-2 0 1 1 1 0 5 3 7 and--defended the top scorer(14.9ppg) for ut to 2 points---that is doing an outstanding job. golden was averaging 21ppg the last 3 games. gotta include DEFENSE as part of overaLL PLAY. rr I'll credit that to him. When you cant shoot, cant hit free throws, struggls hitting layups, assists to turnovers are terrible......where is the complete game? Not just defense........and his lack of scoring dont bother me, but his turnovers are terrible.

They wanna see the march knight and wall in Teague... Instead of seeing the transformation of the talented freshman!

We're 3-0 in the SEC with 2 road games under our belt. I'm not worried.
We're not going to go undefeated in the SEC, but the SEC championship is already ours to lose.

^ sat's win was a huge leg up on florida, who many consider our main competition in the sec...(though i think miss. st. is the team to beat)

vandy's better than the way they started, no doubt. i'll show them some love right up to tourney time, at which point i highly doubt i'll put them in a position to bust my bracket 3 years running
miss. st. i could see playing deep into march
